Animal Instincts
I wanted to share with you some of the memories that I had with my pets or animals around me. Some encounters are happy and some are sad. Just glad that they have accompanied me and my family along this journey called life.
Dog Encounter
When I was a little child, my father brought a dog back home. I was actually scared of dogs at that time because the dog was about the same height as me. I have vague memory of how the dog looks like. I only knew that it was furry, white colour and stayed in the kitchen. I was always very scared when I went to the kitchen. Haha. I heard from my uncle that he used our shampoo to bath the dog and it's hair came off very fast. Haha. After that, the dog was sent off to one of my father's friend.
Chicks Encounter
My mother bought two chicks. They were so cute and cuddly that we kept touching the chicks and then 2 days later the chicks died. I was very small then when I had the chicks.
Rabbit Encounter
Got two rabbits when we just moved out. One is brown and the other white. They were soooo cute. Unfotunately, my sister was too young to know what are rabbits that she took a pair of scissors and cut the ear of the white rabbit. Ouch! That really hurts. I do not understand why she did that and we actually put handiplaste on the rabbit's 'short' ear. Haha. Not long after the incident, my mother gave away the rabbits to a Malay friend. About two years later, I saw the Malay family together with the brown rabbit which is very big however the white rabbit was nowhere to be seen.
Hamster Encounter
Bought two hamsters at Ginza Plaza Pet Shop (Now closed down). Both are dwarf hamsters but one is white (female) and the other brown (male). However, both of them did not get along well, they will always fight and the white is always the weaker one. Around 1 and a half years, the white dwarf hamster got some skin disease because she was almost bald. We brought her to see the vet(fees are very ex) and after taking a week of medicine she kind of got well but after that it starts to worsen. We made a painful decision of getting an injection for the hamster(should know what I mean). We dare not go to the vet and it was my parents who actually went on our behalf. So we were left with the brown hamster and he was very healthy for two years. He died last year around Febuary 2004.
That's all folks. Actually I have more to write but due to workload I'll end here.
